Thrifty Finds This Week

I just love summer.
I have been basking in the sun, whiling away the days in my garden, marching to all the local garage sales and haunting the Thrift and Goodwill Shops.

Check out some of my newest treasures I picked up this week.

Milk glass candy jar.  Pick this up at a garage sale.

A sweet creamer - "A Shanty on Lake Chaudiere" by Ridgeway.  Paid $1.99 at the Thrift Shop.

Vintage green mason jars.  $.50 each at the Thrift Store.

Vintage hand embroidered table runners.

Two vintage silver plated candelabras.
These beauties I found at Goodwill, $6.99ea, can't wait to make a tablescape with them.

I also found these two glass candelabras at Goodwill, $6.99ea.
I must have had candles on the brain that day.

Isn't this milk pitcher sweet?  I picked it up at a garage sale for $2.00.
The candles were dirt cheap at $.25ea.

Definitely the best garage sale find this week was this beautiful bird cage, $15.
Can't wait to decorate it - just have to find a spot for it in the house somewhere.

I think I have had a good week of treasure hunting!

Diane

I love the table runner, and you've inspired me to get out my mom's and start using them! Thanks for sharing the eye candy, I'm excited for you!

Good Job! Tanning and garage sales, that's summer! My favorites are the bird cage and silver candlesticks. OMGosh why would someone get rid of those candlesticks???

The little white pitcher looks like Heritage Hall China made in Staffordshire England. I have a whole set but with a different scene. The old mason jars are great too.

Diane, can I just say Oh, Oh, Oh! What fabulous treasures you found. Each and every one of these items would have called my name, too, if I had come across them first.
The candelabras are gorgeous! The milkglass candy jar and the pitchers are so sweet. Who could pass up the Ball jars especially at 50 cents?
I love how you have displayed your finds. Inspires me to try something like this in a future post as it looks so nice!

You did very well on your summer outing. I am not sure if you were here if you would have lasted that long. Terribly hot.

I love thrifting so much, I even enjoy the treasures of others. Girl, you stole those Ball jars, 50 cents each! Wow. Isn't it funny how sometimes the things we find will have a theme, or else, we end up liking things that go together.
