Gingham Love

Life In The Country

I just love gingham.

Neiman Marcus

Red and pink gingham, such classy and calming colours.
So country.

I can see myself living in this fine English country manor.
Horses, beautiful botanical gardens, chickens, sheep in the pasture and friends visiting for tea.
My definition of a good country life.

source

Missing from this pic should be a big fluffy white dog.

I am all for windows and lots and lots of natural light.

source

I bet I could curl up in this beauty with a good book.
Something or anything by Dan Brown maybe.

source

I could see myself sitting at this dining table with a cup of coffee, chatting away to my kid sister.
Always giving advise to her whether she wants it or not.
And yes I know she has teenage children, but that doesn't matter, I am still the oldest!

Country Living

I think I will have a cup of tea today in the sun room.

Most go out to feed the horses, it looks like rain so best grab my wellingtons.

And my umbrella.

Warm up when I am done....now, where is my hot coco....

source

....found it no problem....along with some cupcakes...yum.

Pinterest

After a long day in the stables, I will take a good book and retire for the evening.

My favorite is the little attic room splashed with red!

YEA FOR SCARLET

Yea for scarlet, yea for red!
Yea for summertime that’s fled
To some far-off frigid place,
Where no ruby shows its face!

I have got to have those gingham boots. I havea life long love affair with gingham! When I was little and my aunt would take me to the fabric store to pick out fabric for a new dress she would always say "Try and pick something besides gingham please" because 9 times out of 10, I would pick gingham!

I LOVE Gingham!! Especially red! I am just drawn to it like a moth to a frame! Horchow had the bedding in your first photo and I just yearned for it!! Sadly, it was WAY out of my price range, but a girl can dream right??

Love these photos!

Happy Pink Saturday Diane Sweetie...
What a joy it was to find your blog today. I too love gingham. It never grows old or outdates. It is the gift that keeps on giving with pattern, color and beauty.

What beautiful ginghams in bed linens. They are some of my favorites. I love red so that first one stole my heart right off the bat.

Love the chair by the fireplace. That was elegant and looked so inviting. Curl up with a good book for a couple of hours and spin off into another world.

I can also see myself dancing in the rain with those wellingtons and that gorgeous gingham umbrella.

What a fun post sweetie. Thank you for sharing. Have a glorious weekend. I can't wait to see what you share next. Country hugs, Sherry
