Country Red

Life In The Country
Series #3

Here we are again this week, heading into the country for some decorating inspiration and fun imagination!

source

If you remember from last week, I had all my blogging friends over for the weekend.
As the last guest left, I get a call from my Plantation stable manager that the sheep are ready for shearing.

source

And since I like to be present for this production,
I'll pack up my suitcases......

source

and headed out to my beautiful Plantation located in the heart of the South.

source

Now because I know a lot of you folks are from the South, you are more than welcome to visit me.

source

If you don't want to use the front door, by all means use the back.

source

I think I will have a cup of tea before I take an afternoon nap.

source

The best part of my day.....catching 40 winks before dinner.

Country Life

source

My favorite room, best view of the property.

source

I can watch the horses frolic all day.

And it has the lovely bath in the house.

source

Must remember to change into my wellingtons before I head out to the barns.

Looking forward to the warmth of the fireplace with a wee bit of cocoa.

source

Maybe I will watch "Gone With The Wind".

Laura Ashley

So, until we meet again next week,
I will be enjoying the sunshine beaming down on this country life.

Love that red and white room in the first picture. Great rooms. Your source links are not linked because they are part of the pictures. I was trying to click on one of them. Thanks for joining the party.

I would feel just grand walking up (or down) that grand staircase!

WHERE RED ABIDES

A day filled with scarlet, they say,
Can make the sad heart skip and play;
For where red abides,
A little bird hides
And sings every worry away.

I recognized one of those photos from my Kitty Bartholomew book on decorating. Do you know what ever happened to her? I loved seeing her on HGTV. She doesn't even have a blog. Go figure.

I don't really have red in my house ... but that doesn't mean I don't love it. Thanks for satisfying my craving ...

I love that first room, in red and white. It is nice to see a return to color and pattern in decorating. It looks so cozy and warm.(-:

Hi Diane Sweetie...
Happy Pink Saturday. Oh my gosh do I ever love this share. You know how I love red, and boy does this one ever hit a home run. I love it.

Adore the red and white polka dotted suitcases, do they scream "HAPPY" or what? LOVE them.

What a grand staircase, I would definitely come in the front. So pretty. What a gorgeous share.

Thank you for letting me dream a little with you this evening. I so enjoyed my visit. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Some lovely images in this post. I wanted to pin them from the original source, but the words "source" don't lead anywhere?

Thanks,
Dixie

Gosh I don't think you would have enough time in the day to do all those wonderful things.
What a beautiful set of images. The only one I couldn't even sit in would be the first one. The pattern makes my head spin.
All the others make me drool.
