For a while I have been looking for a small lamp to use in the kitchen.
I was wanting to put something under my cabinets that would cast a soft glow in the kitchen at night.
I was out and about yesterday and look what I found at The Salvation Army Thrift Store.
A small lamp, plus other sweet treasures.
I was a happy girl yesterday!
I thought this small lamp would do the trick.
Just the right touch of elegance, so if the kitchen didn't work then I could put it elsewhere in the house.
It cost me $4.00. Bit of an antique, you can tell by the cord.
I bought a new lamp shade at Walmart.
I moved it around a few places in the kitchen and it just didn't do anything for me.
So, I will just give it some thought.
Good deal on this Royal Albert "Winsome" lidded sugar dish.
$3.00
Aren't they pretty......$.50 a piece.
Milk white bottle.
Can't say I know a lot about milk white collectibles.
Not even sure if this a true milk white, but never-the-less, I like it.
It has Avon marked on the bottom.
Cost me $1.00
These pretty little tea cup and saucers costs me $.25 a piece.
These days if I am at home I am Christmas decorating
and if I am out and about I am Christmas shopping,
so my little visit to the Sally Ann shop was a nice little break.

Pretty treasures; I can never, never pass up dishes with sweet roses too. Love your bargains!
Lovely finds this week.
What a sweet little lamp! It would also work on a bathroom vanity or bedroom dresser. You found some pretty china pieces too. I like the cups and saucers. I'm the same as you in the shopping and decorating! Have fun.
Oh I love your new finds! It's so exciting to bring home some new pieces to fit into the home isn't it!? Thanks so much for joining me for Pearls and Lace Thursday! I'm so glad you came to the party!
Blessings, Doni
That lamp is perfect! Recently, I was looking for one for the very same purpose. I'm still looking. Sigh. As for your Avon milk glass decanter, it is genuine milk glass. Avon has offered a few milk glass pieces over the years. I collect Fenton and Westmoreland milk glass. The Avon bottle is meant to look like the more expensive Fenton hobnail glass. Who knows, maybe your little piece will be the spark for a new collection? Thanks for sharing your lovely finds.
All very cute stuff- I do love me a good thrifty tind and I love milk glass (real or fake!). :) Thanks for sharing!
Everything is adorable, I love the tea cups and saucers. Good luck finding a place for your lamp :)
