Country Christmas

Life In The Country
Series #7

Here we are again this week, heading into the country for some decorating inspiration and fun imagination!

**************

It has been snowing for the last few weeks.
As winter starts to settle in and Christmas around the corner, I will be spending the holidays in my Swedish home.

My suitcases are packed and ready to go.

The Christmas gifts are all wrapped and ready to put under the tree.

As always whenever I arrive in Sweden, the local patrolling sherrif of our area (area 5), Sherrif Northman, greets and delivers me to my home.
He has been here forever, as far as I can remember he has been doing this job for what seems like....centuries.

This time of the year, the house and the grounds are simply beautiful and calming.
Definitely an excitement in the air.

Christmas boughs and wreaths in each room.

Think I will take a relaxing bath before the Christmas activities start.

I am expecting Christmas guests and always look forward to greeting them when they arrive.

Their rooms have been prepared and are ready.

Each bedroom in the house has a sitting area, all decked out for Christmas as well.

The Royal's asked me if I would accommodate some of their guests,
guess they just ran out of room.....they must have a lot of friends!

Look at the gifts these unexpected guest bestow on me.....very generous company indeed!
I hope that come back next year.

Oh my, can't believe I have been here all day and have not gone out to see the horse in the stables.

Cozy Canadian Cottage

Look how muddy it is - have switched into my wellingtons.

Hard to believe one minute I am tracking through mud with the boots,
and the next I am getting ready for a beautiful dinner in my red Christmas dress.

And pretty shoes.

Dining room all set and decorated through out.

Oh Diane, you are always the last blog that I am able to visit because I have drooled so much over your country home, your swedish home, this room, that room, and whichever man happens to be taking care of you the day you post, lol. I always love the pics you post (men and all, lol). My absolute fav is the mirror with the pinecones around it, and the checked chairs on either side of the fireplace. I really am drooling!

Beautiful images. And people really live in those rooms! Makes me feel kind of poor. But, I'm happy. :)

SING A SONG OF SCARLET

Sing a song of scarlet—
Red on Christmas morn!
Sing a song of scarlet—
Blue is so forlorn!
Sing a song of scarlet—
Red for girls and boys!
Sing a song of scarlet—
Look at all those toys!

Oh imagination is such a gift and free! That entryway, the entire front door is magnificient. Have added that to my list for when I win the lottery. Nope don't really have a written list, I am so happy winning a lottery would not make make me more so, but I love the creaitve ideas imagination spawns. Thank you! HPS.
