Country Christmas Break

Life In The Country
Christmas Break

Here we are again this week, heading into the country for some decorating inspiration and fun imagination!

***********

You may recall from last week I am back at home in my sweet cozy Canadian cottage.

I invited a bunch of my blog gal pals.
We had such a good time, well they wore me out!

When my family doctor called on me this week, I told him I was pretty exhausted from the week before.

He immediately order bed rest all day and night.
I happen to think it a good idea as well.

So between resting and soaking in the tub, I am having a marvelous Christmas break.

*****

I also want to thank Kim over at Savvy Southern Style for featuring our fun weekend with the girls.
I hardly saw her last week, she was always in the stables.
That girl can ride like the wind!

Ride like the wind??? I wish. I do love to ride, but my knees don't. I get in so much pain. I love these posts. You do have a mighty fine doctor.

I especially like that last photo. It reminds me of our mudroom decked out with its old skis, sled, and colorful runner. Cute post.

I'm feeling a bit like the lone rider this morning, and riding off into the sunset seems like a pretty good idea! LOL

RED HAT

Red hat, I am lonesome.
Red hat, are you free?
Red hat, please consider
Coming home with me.

I need a companion,
One who’ll warm my head;
I think you’ll do nicely,
Hat of brilliant red.

You’re the warmest color,
Not like blue or green—
Red hat at the vendor’s,
Red hat, you’re my queen.
