How to make a fast, inexpensive and pretty Christmas tree skirt.
I have been looking for a long time for a tree skirt to go under my blue Christmas tree.
The tree skirts at the stores are either royal blue or navy blue, but I was looking for more of an ice blue.
These days most of my money is going toward Christmas gifts, so I didn't want to spend a whole lot on a skirt.
I was shopping in Giant Tiger and came across these lovely blue pillow cases for $.99 cents.
Bingo!
Instant Christmas tree skirt.
It took me less than 60 seconds to put together.
I used four of the pillow cases.
Kinda pretty isn't it!

Its amazing, isn't it? I just couldn't stomach paying $40 or better for a Christmas skirt to match my tree, so I bought a tablecloth in the color I wanted, folded it in half, cut a hole in the center, and VIOLA! Instant tree skirt for an 1/8th of the price! Love the blue! Looks fabulous!! Following now you too. :) ~ Laura @ Our Prairie Home
Beautiful! I love your blue tree!

I love that you re-purposed the pillow cases into a tree skirt. Just because something is designated for a specific purpose it doesn't have to be used that way. Very creative and gave you just the colour you wanted.
This looks amazing!
