Life In The Country
Series #12
Here we are again this week, heading into the country for some decorating inspiration and fun fiction!
**For those new to my blog, you will need your imagination....oh and....your cowboy boots!**
*************
Flying back from my sweet home in England,
Watching over my 1000 acre estate has to be the best sheriff this side of the Mississippi.
When I am away I can rest easy knowing that he is taking care of the good, the bad and the ugly.
Let's just say.....you don't want to make his day!!
The ranch hands have been busy bringing in the newest members to the stables.
As always, everything has been running smoothly,
so I think I will relax for a bit to shake off the jet-lag.
The kitchen always has strong cowboy coffee brewing.
With all this heat and dust, I think I will take a little afternoon rest.
Now, which room did I leave my suitcases??
Looking forward to visiting with some of my southern blog pals,
they will be staying the week, and of course, will be saddling up.
Their rooms are all ready.
One of my favourites, overlooking the yard.
And this room is just too pretty.
They are most eager to see the new fouls,
so will have a quick lunch.
These girls are so savvy,
no sooner did they just arrive we were heading out to the shops.
I looked forward to picking up some find treasures myself.
We even got to meet some of the locals.....they are so friendly!
What a great day we have all had,
I retire for the evening with a good book, glass of sherry
while a strong Texas wind blows across the land.

Bathroom with turquoise shutters , chairs in dresses ... so I like this atmosphere. Beautiful picture.
Have a great day !
I wouldn't mind getting to know that local ;)
I love that kitchen.
This post called my name! Just my style. Beautiful inspiration!
OMG you always take my breath away with your country series post! That teal kitchen is to die for! I have been wanting white, but......
And the dining room with the checked slip covers and that really old big piece of furniture....I'm just drooling! Oh, let's not forget the local cowboy, I think this where I will use my imagination, lol.
The country locals are always so friendly- no airs about them!
Fun post and beautiful pictures-
This is so cute. I have always loved a good cowboy. I saw my first real cowboy with his boots when I was eight years old. We were visiting in Wyoming. That's a long time ago. Here in Kentucky we have the horses and farms, but there really aren't any REAL cowboys. The best I can do is my flannel cowboy pajamas.
I'm married to a cowboy...just what I prayed for! Of course now, no horses in the pasture, just cows, but all the same it's pure heaven in the country! I'm so excited you came to visit here in Texas. Your 'home' was gorgeous and the food fantastic. I hope you were able to get the bar-b-que stain off that lace tablecloth...silly me...that rib just slipped clean outta my fingers!!!
Hugs and YeeeHaww!

Happy Pink Saturday Diane Sweetie...
Girl I have my cowboy boots on, and I am ready to ride with a little help from those cow hands of course.
First I think we better head into that gorgeous kitchen and bake a little something to take along. With all that work they have keeping up this estate I am sure they will be hungry.
Loved the bedrooms, how pretty, any cowgirl could dream of cattle drives in one of those beauties.
Thank you so much for taking me along on this one.I have so enjoyed myself. I love it. Have a gorgeous weekend sweetie, Sherry
