House Tour

Yesterday I spend a fantastic day in the country, at my sister's home.
They bought this house a year ago May and for seven months the house has been under intense renovations.
Let's go nosey around.

The pic below is the house under construction,
you can see an addition, on the right, was just underway.
The siding was even changed to a soft taupe colour.

Before

Love the new look of the exterior.

After

Let's head inside.......

One of the first rooms that greets you is the kitchen.
With the two tone wood colours, it is a magnificent room to make daily meals in..... and a pie or two!
I am in love with this kitchen!

I am also in love with the Great Room.

The Great Room leads in from the kitchen.

Floor to ceiling river stone fireplace.

Looking across from the fireplace, the second floor where the bedrooms are located.

Nephew's room.
A NASCAR fan.

My sister painted and decorated this room completely.....the details!

Niece's room.....two tone walls.

Other niece's room......love the shanty!

Master bath.

All though the majority of the renos are complete, a few things here and there still need to be finished.
She and I talked about decor, and she is looking for a whole new look from her previous home.
The previous look just did not fit in with this brand new house.
Lucky her, she is shopping for all new treasures from art for the walls, right down to light fixtures!

Her country homes sits on 30 acres of open farm field.
Let's go for a walk.

In the country, spring and mud go hand in hand.
I forgot my wellingtons so had to wear BIL boots.....just a tad big!

So peaceful and serene.
A river runs threw it.

Can't wait for the brown to turn to green.

Well folks, hope you enjoyed this tour of my sister's home!

Diane

Hi Diane,
Your sister has a beautiful home. What fun, and a lot of work too! I would enjoy the decorating part of it all. Thanks for the tour.
Your niece's bedroom walls are the same colour as my grandson's; bright robins egg blue.
Have a lovely day.

Blessings,
Sandi
