Fun in the Sun

Summer at the trailer

Funny how time just slips away into days.  I can’t believe I haven’t posted for close to two weeks.

I have decided to spend my entire summer up at my trailer….and loving every minute of it.  At the beginning of the summer I was only originally going to just spend my weekends here.   But after a while the call of the water, beach and fun in the sun had me packing up and settling into the trailer for the summer.

I have been here full-time for almost two weeks now.  I keep waiting to get bored,  thinking soon I will be packing it in and head back home, but it just hasn’t happened yet.  I simply love it here.  In fact, I might almost have a hard time leaving when the park shuts down for the season in October.  Having said that, I can’t see myself staying until the Fall, but who knows!

My day starts out with the noises of the morning, the birds communicating with each other….and they start early, chirping away.  I have my morning tea out on the deck, so peaceful and serene.   Some days I head down to the beach, while others days I might head into town and do some shopping.

Living in a beach community is so awesome, everywhere you go you see boats, and more boats.  Boats attached to vehicles, heading toward the marina, boats up for sale, boats parked in driveways.   Boats small and large everywhere!  People walking around in their beach attire, towels slung over their shoulders. The shops full of beach merchandise, street- side cafes offering ice-cream cones, while other restaurants offer cool, refreshing summer drinks…something with an umbrella in it I’m sure!

In the evening I would say has to be the best time at the park.  Enjoying the evening breeze as I glide away on my swing, I can hear the sea-doos down at the beach, slapping against the water waves.   Most nights someone around the park is having a bon-fire.  We normally have a fire on the weekends and I love when one of the neighbours comes over and joins us.  Lots of interesting people here, coming from all different walks of life,  making the bon-fire nights always interesting and fun.

Forgive me if I am sluggish in my posts of late, but life is keeping me busy at the moment.  I am enjoying every second of it!

It's Five O'Clock Somewhere

When I first bought and posted about my summer trailer,
I mentioned that the park had live bands every weekend.

This past weekend, I finally went to see one.
What an awesome experience.
People were up and dancing, while others were cheering the band on.
One and all were having a great time, including me!

On stage was a Jimmy Buffett tribute band.
They were fantastic and entertaining while singing away about Margaritaville.

Not sure who is playing this upcoming weekend, but I'll be there!
