There is nothing more haunting then an abandoned building.
A shadow of a long majestic reign.
A home refusing to give into decay.
Holding on to forever.
Beauty that once was.
Echoes of a happier time.
Faded warmth.
The only thing living here now is history.
But, sometimes you can fool Mother Nature.
And beauty still remains.
Here in Blogland, were renovations rule,
we think tool belt and Anne Sloan paint would change that in no time!
Abandoned maybe, but not lost forever.

Wow, such amazing images! Haunting, yet so beautiful. I just love all the architecture, even when it is in decay.
Some of those places are just amazing. So sad that they were give up on by people.
WOW! I love all of those. It's a shame that things that beautiful were left to fall apart.
Where did you ever find these wonderful photos? They are sad but beautiful all the same. It's sad that these old mansions have fallen into ruin but I can imagine the cost of repairs would be in the millions.
